DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T LOVE YOURSELF ENOUGH?


When you don’t love yourself enough, it comes with a lot of consequences, such as; 
you allow people to mistreat you and to continue to mistreat you;
you try to please other people feeling it’s your obligation, not because you want to;
you feel suspicious when people treat you well or become extra-generous;
you feel that it’s your fault when things go wrong;
you pity yourself easily when someone criticizes you;
you don’t feel comfortable when you look at yourself in the mirror;
you allow people to think that it is tolerable to abuse other people;
you find it hard to receive love;
you become prone to depression and hopelessness;
you sabotage your own success because you believe you don’t deserve it. 

You know, at first glance, it might seem that this lack of love  isn’t so harmful in our relationship with others.  But how could we even have a basis for loving other people when we can’t even love ourselves? By which standards are we going to treat them when we can’t even treat ourselves well?  When we don’t love ourselves enough, we also lose the capacity to love other people.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW?


Many times, it isn’t the difficulty we’re experiencing that truly matters, but the meaning we’re able to give to whatever it is we’re going through.

What is the meaning of your life right now?  If you are hurting, what meaning could you possibly give to your sufferings?  If you are joyful, what meaning have you found in your happiness?

It could be that you’ve just lost someone you really loved, and this grief is saying that the meaning of your life right now is called LETTING GO.

It could be that you’ve been hurt so bad by someone who was supposed to protect you, and thus the meaning of your present days could be one of FORGIVENESS.

It could be that you’re pursuing a dream, but its fulfilment seem so far away and the only word you could hold on to right now is PERSEVERANCE.

It could be that you’ve tried everything to solve a problem but every path still seems to be blocked.  If so, the meaning of your life at the moment could be called HOPE.

It could be that you’ve spent your whole life trying to build something, but in one moment a catastrophe happens and destroys everything you’ve ever built.  And thus the meaning of your life could be called STARTING OVER.

REFLECTION


GOD blesses us all and provides for our needs differently.  To some HE gives material blessings, to others, spiritual strength.  When we need some form of support, GOD sometimes sends us people who would be channels of His grace. 

Sometimes, it is GOD Himself who directly gives it to us- even though we may feel it isn't enough and of course, HE has a reason for everything, and surely makes all things beautiful in HIS time. 

So during such times, should I ever think I have received less?  Or do I praise GOD for giving me Himself and personally taking care of me?

SOME TIPS TO STAY HAPPY THIS WEEKEND AND ALWAYS.........



Be grateful. Being grateful is a great attitude and as they say, a grateful heart is a happy heart. So stop sulking and be grateful for all you have. We have so much to be thankful for, if not for anything, thank GOD for being alive, thank your spouse for being so amazing; because a living dog is better than a dead lion. 

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

Manage your time.

Laugh and laugh heartily everyday. Heard a good joke? Tell your spouse, friends or family about it. As they also say -'Laughter is the best medicine'.

Be kind; and try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.

Accomplishments are necessary for all of us, they give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel are worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new everyday. Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons. And could also give us more opportunities in the future. 

Feel alive by doing the things that your body's made for.

Avoid exposure to negative and toxic people as well as toxic environment.

These are the few simple things you can do everyday to stay happy. 

And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, he says that, "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT THE REDWOOD TREES""


I learned a great lesson today about the redwood trees, so I thought I should share it. I learned that though the redwood trees are some of the tallest trees in the world, they do not have especially deep roots, which consequently if alone, would be in great danger of falling over. 

However, what thrilled me was the fact that redwoods tend to grow close to one another, and under the soil their roots bind together, adding strength and support so that even when faced with storms, the roots tighten around each other, making redwood forests some of the most steadfast in the world. 

Here's the moral lesson; you cannot survive alone, you cannot succeed alone. You need covenant relationships and alignment with one another to achieve such solidarity, to excel in life no matter how good you are at what you do! 

Like the redwood trees, find yourself a great support system! Do not let anyone  or your mind deceive you into thinking that you don't need anyone's help! That's a lie!

Many people are scared of something specific, like being in the dark or driving or swimming or even pursuing their dreams. They feel they are not capable - lies of the dark mind. I recently learned how to do something I feared I may fumble at. And it amazed me how good and swift I am with it.
If you're in such situation, make it a point to learn the thing that you fear doing. Even if you fail once or twice or more, don’t give up on your hope. Fear is nothing if you believe it is not.. Switch off the lights when you are alone in a room and see what happens. You can be assured that nothing is going to attack you.
Once you confront your fear by actually performing the same thing that you fear, you will successfully kill your fear!

Feeling stressed out, worn out by fatigue or just simply having a miserable day? The best thing to do is relax. In recent studies, experts have found out that heart disease is linked to anger, anxiety, irritability which also causes mental stress. Relaxation takes on added importance in light of this matter. So there are many ways to achieve relaxation, but I would share with you guys the one that works for me- that gives me instant relief and calm. Breathing.

Breathing is one of the easiest methods to relax. It influences almost all aspects of us, it affects our minds, moods and our bodies. Simply focus on your breathing- breath from your nose and exhale through your mouth, instantly you can feel its effects right away. Try it. Have a stress-free weekend.

HEALTHY MIND TIPS


You will agree with me that it is much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest. So do the basic at all times to ensure a very sound and healthy mind. 

Remind yourself of the things you are grateful for. From experience, stresses and challenges don't seem quite as bad when you are constantly reminding yourself of the things that are right in life. Taking just 5 mins a day to stop and appreciate the good things will make a huge difference.

A fear of not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to assume that we know what others are thinking, but our fears are usually not reality. If you have a fear that a friend or family member's bad mood is due to something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, speak up and ask them. Don't waste time worrying that you did something wrong unless you have proof that there is something to worry about.

We all know that the mind is where all the issues of life and events are birthed. That is why you have to empty the garbage box daily- for two reasons:

1. Where will you accumulate  new thoughts? And

2. The existing garbage will rot and stink making your whole house like a big garbage box.

Same is with our mind everyday; we need to empty it for new things or else it will make you a stinking garbage box. Most of us are so full with our own perceptions, prejudices & past that we knowingly or unknowingly have become stinking garbage boxes with no place for new learnings! So here's my question for you friend. Have you emptied your garbage box today?

Watch out for the adulterated golds- it could be a friend, a lover that seems so harmless, or even a business deal that's too good to be true. Have you tried them out to know if they are pure or fake? You will agree with me that most times, it is difficult the different the fake from the original. You need to have a discerning spirit to be able to different the two! The truth, which may also sound like a cliché still remains, that you will only know a persons true character under "some certain circumstances."
