Water is the main component of the body composed of between 55 and 78 percent water. We enjoy great health benefits when we consume adequate and regular quantity of water. As an added advantage to its tasteless, odourless, and colourless state, it has zero level carbohydrates, calories, fat or sugar which makes it the most health liquid to be consumed. 

Further more, the institute of Medicine has determined the adequate intake of total beverage per day to be about three litres or 13 cups for men and 2.2 litres or nine cups for women. This recommended quantities obviously highlight the very need to ensure the regular intake of water to keep the body well hydrated for proper functioning of every cell in the body.
