LOOK FOR THE POSITIVE IN EVERY CHALLENGE YOU FACE!

Image
We sometimes require the darkness of difficulties and hardships in our lives to move to the next level or another dimension of our lives! Life is beautiful if you stop thinking that every challenge you are facing is because you are disadvantaged. Do you take the time to realize the positive potentials you have hrough your obstacles, difficulties, or setbacks? For example, a failed relationship can help you discover who you are, what you did well and what you didn't do well, and ways to get better at being best.  A job that is difficult and unpleasant can bring out those hidden potentials you never thought you had. Poverty can help you realise how much of an economist you are by managing every single dime well even when you thought you could never work your  way around a certain amount of money. A quarrel with your spouse will teach you to be more patient, understanding and loving. And so on. So you see, nothing is as bad as it seems. All you need to do is to chan...

DISCERN WHO YOU MUST HELP!

Image
At some point in our lives, the majority of us need healing- spiritual healing, emotional healing and mental healing. Experience has thought me that you can never help someone who has drowned himself/herself in their own shattered perspectives, you know, trying to play the role of a healer". That is not your role!  I remember rendering a kind assistance to someone who was deeply in need,(I guess I was just being a "busy body") but the person started putting up a mean attitude towards me for whatever reasons known to her. I ignored her, as I was grateful for the privilege. Well, my point is, as much as each and every one of us is here on earth to solve needs, the truth is, you MUST always ask GOD to bring the right people to whom you are to help! There are people GOD has assigned you to help, not just anyone! Remember, wisdom is profitable to direct! Learn to discern who genuinely needs to be helped.

SEEK TO HELP OTHERS"

Image
When you know you are kind to the people around you, and are making a positive difference in other people's lives (even if it's just being kinder to the person who opens the gate for you everyday), you will know that you are a positive force in the world and your good deeds will be rewarded by GOD! Find a way to make helping others a part of your weekly routine, no matter how small. The act of helping will not only benefit others, but it will glorify GOD and bring life to your purpose! You don't have to help someone in your community to feel the benefits of helping others. Sometimes, someone close to you, such as your mother or your best friend, will need your help as much as anyone.

BE STRONG ALWAYS!

Image
Resolve to remain as strong, as determined, and as highly enthused during the darkest night of adversity as you are and will be during the sunniest day of prosperity. Do not feel disappointed when things seem disappointing, even though sometimes as humans we get uncomfortable with our situations, but quickly snap out of it and remind yourself whose child you are! Keep your eyes focused on the same brilliant future regardless of circumstances, conditions, or events. Do not lose heart when things go wrong.  Continue undisturbed in your original resolve to make all things go right... “The man who never weakens when things are against him will grow stronger and stronger until all things will delight to be for him. He will finally have all the strength he may desire or need. Be always strong and you will always be stronger!

BREAKING THE COMMUNICATION BARRIER BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN!

Image
Getting your children to open up to you can be daunting. You might get one word or two words response like "okay," "fine," "yes," "don't know" and sometimes you might be greeted with a loud silence. All these depend on the kind of relationship you have with your children.  I remember as a little girl, whenever I did something that may not necessarily be wrong, My mom would call me and say, "don't worry, tell me the truth" but before I could finish telling her exactly what happened, I would have received the worst beatings of my life. Because of my parents constant punishments even before hearing me out, I never opened up to them as an adolescent. Ever! Learn to build and strengthen your relationship with your kids. So to break barriers in communication with your children, here are some tips: Make yourself available, build trust and make it a daily routine to connect with them. Children tend to open up in casual ...
