LUNCH WITH GOD

Image
A little boy wanted to meet God. He packed his suitcase with two sets of his dress and some packets of Cakes and he stared his journey. He walked a long and felt tired. So he sat in a park on the way and opened a packet to take a cake to eat. Then he noticed an old woman sitting sad with hunger nearby, so he offered her a piece of cake. She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again. After some time he offered her another piece of cake. Again, she accepted it and smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he up got to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave her a hug and she kissed him with her prettiest smile. When the boy opened the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do tod

"THE LESSON"

A wealthy man requested an old scholar to wean his son away from his bad habits.  The scholar took the youth for a stroll through a garden. Stopping suddenly he asked the boy to pull out a tiny plant growing there. The youth held the plant between his thumb and forefinger and pulled it out. The old man then asked him to pull out a slightly bigger plant. The youth pulled hard and the plant came out, roots and all. “Now pull out that one,” said the old man pointing to a bush. The boy had to use all his strength to pull it out. “Now take this one out,” said the old man, indicating a guava tree. The youth grasped the trunk and tried to pull it out. But it would not budge.  “It’s impossible,” said the boy, panting with the effort. “So it is with bad habits,” said the sage. “When they are young it is easy to pull them out but when they take hold they cannot be uprooted.” The session with the old man changed the boy’s life. Don’t wait for Bad Habits to grow in you, d

QUOTE FOR THE DAY

WEEKEND HEALTHY TIP.

Image
Anxiety and stress are not only toxic to your physical health, but also to your self-confidence. Why not take some time out of your hectic schedule to seriously relax. By slowing your brain's thought pattern, you will be less emotional and you will feel calmer and more in control of your life- a key to feeling confident. Relax through whichever way that works for you, it could be through meditation (this works for me so well), yoga, listening to music, visiting the spa and having a good massage, or even just a night bubble bath.

THE CHOICE.

Image
It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold. The hedgehogs, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive. The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities.

REFLECTION

Image
Never try to avoid the truths that lie before you, or deceive yourself by decorating them with niceties. We must always remain completely aware of the truths in our lives so that our necessary contributions to humanity might be shared. If there is a truth that must be told, do not try to explain it away or avoid it or lie about it--speak it, feel it, share it, and do what you can to help heal that hurt, no matter how small those efforts may seem. The truth always prevails, that's the truth you MUST know!

"KEEP PADDLING"

Image
This is the story of two frogs. One frog was fat and the other skinny. One day, while searching for food, they inadvertently jumped into a vat of milk. They couldn't get out, as the sides were too slippery, so they were just swimming around. The fat frog said to the skinny frog, "Brother frog, there's no use paddling any longer. We're just going to drown, so we might as well give up." The skinny frog replied, "Hold on brother, keep paddling. Somebody will get us out." And they continued paddling for hours. After a while, the fat frog said, "Brother frog, there's no use. I'm becoming very tired now. I'm just going to stop paddling and drown. It's Sunday and nobody's working. We're doomed. There's no possible way out of here." But the skinny frog said, "Keep trying. Keep paddling. Something will happen, keep paddling." Another couple of hours passed. The fat frog said, "I can't go on
