TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

I believe that every right implies a responsibility;every opportunity an obligation, every possession a duty.
Nelson Rockefeller

When life doesn't go the direction we planned or we inadvertently make mistakes, it is so easy to make excuses, blame every circumstance associated with the event, assign blame to parents for not paying our bills, argue that the circumstances were flawed and all of that. But then, we only make progress in life to the extent that we take full responsibility for the choices we make and the turn out of activities.

When we make the choice to take responsibility for our lives, we be on top of our game and put forth the initiative necessary to create out own circumstances.

Sometimes when I share my experiences in the journey of creating my own life circumstances, some folks tend to marvel at how the events connect perfectly, very timely and in tandem with anticipated results. That's what you experience when you take responsibility for your life by making adequate plans, exploring opportunities around you, asking relevant questions in order to gain clarity, moving with confidence, making the right confessions and above all, having faith in God and in yourself which gives essence to the efforts you make.

Betty Ford's (former first lady of the United States), brave and revealing description of her battle with addiction which took place at a time when such personal confessions were publicly disclosed. Although she resisted any suggestions that liquor had contributed to her illness, all she could confess to was over medication of legal drugs prescribed by doctors. But then she made it at the end because she took responsibility for herself through her openness, genuineness, and example. Thousands of people have followed her footsteps and "made it" as well.

Being responsible is a safer place to be than playing the victim and making excuses. Say "NO" to excuses that have limited you from exploring the beautiful life that you have.

Say "NO" to doubts and move with confidence towards the visions and dreams. Don't interpret life using your five senses, look beyond what you see and transcend.
You Deserve!!!
