IT IS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT SECRECY.🌿

Sometimes, people don’t tell you the truth, not because they want to lie, but because you have not given them permission to be honest.

It is not always about secrecy.
Often, it’s about safety. Emotional safety.

Your friend, your sibling, your spouse, they may have tried to be truthful once, maybe twice.

But when truth met resistance, they quietly tucked their honesty away.

They saw your walls.
The defensiveness.
The need to always be right.
And so they stopped showing up with the raw, uncomfortable truths, not out of spite, but out of self-preservation and love.

Sometimes, they choose silence over friction.
Or they tell you only what your heart seems willing to receive.

Not because they don’t care, but because they do, and they don’t want to be shut out for trying.

The truth is: people don’t always withhold truth to deceive you.
Sometimes, they withhold it because your reactions taught them to.

But here’s the weight of it all:
The truth they are withholding might be the very thing that could have saved you, from a mistake, from unnecessary pain, from walking into something you could not see coming.

Not all withheld truths are harmless.
Some are lifelines.

So let’s make space.
Let’s soften our edges and open our hearts.
Let’s learn to listen not to defend, but to understand.
Because when people feel safe to be real with you, that’s where trust lives. That’s where love grows.
