MONDAY MOTIVATION

Image
Pessimism plants depression and the feeling of helplessness in your heart if you give room to it. As humans, we have been socially conditioned to view failure as a lack of talent and hard work, but this is not entirely true.  Failure can happen even when we are talented and hardworking — what makes us better is our ability to overcome that failure by being optimistic and trust that everything is working out for your good.  So cheer up! You got this! 💪

WORD FOR THE DAY

IS LAW OF ATTRACTION IN THE BIBLE?

Someone asked about this today and here's my take on it.  The Law of Attraction is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible. It is a concept commonly associated with the New Thought movement and the idea that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life.  While some may try to draw parallels between this concept and certain verses or principles in the Bible, it is not a doctrine or teaching found within the Bible itself.  The Bible primarily focuses on  Faith in GOD, obedience, morality, and spiritual guidance rather than the specific idea of the Law of Attraction. I'll make more research on this topic. In the mean time, brood on this and have a lovely weekend. 😘😘

WORD FOR THE DAY —HELPLESSNESS

Image
One of the many things we fail to understand in life is that we can control helplessness once we put our minds to it. The first step to doing this is to know why we are helpless.  Helplessness happens w hen you resign to fate because you believe that you are powerless to change anything. It shuts your eyes and mind to other available options, thereby limiting your chances of escaping.  When you realize what makes you helpless, you can make conscious efforts to fight it and become stronger,😘

ENCOURAGE THE SPEAK UP CULTURE.

Image
Success in parenting must include raising a child(ren) who would never be the bully, never be the bullied and never stay a silent observer when another child is being bullied——and from experience, children who stand up for others are hardly targeted. The ability to speak up helps kids manage their emotions, cope with conflict in a healthy way, and seek help when they need it. When someone knows that their voice will be heard and taken seriously, it gives them the courage to speak up when something isn’t right. So, let us endeavour to create the right environment in our homes to raise confident children——children who speak up; who say something when they see something and feel like saying what they saw.  Dear Parents, we should encourage the speak up culture.

THRIVE ON THAT ENERGY. 💪

Image
I have come across people who easily see the good in me and work towards how I can become even better.  I have also come across people who do not verify anything negative they heard about me, but readily believe and act upon it——and I know that you too have come across both. I have learnt to stick and focus on the the former and let the latter continue to fight with themselves——you too should do same. It does not matter who hates you; what matters is who genuinely loves and cares about you. So thrive on that energy.❤️💪

ARE YOU SURE YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS ARE GOOD FOR YOU?

Image
The human brain is wired to tend towards pleasure and away from pain. Try eating ice cream and burger to know how far.  Unfortunately, this propensity that ties us to delicious meals could also easily hinder one's growth or cause problems to one's health.  One major area of concern is our friendships, especially the quality of our innermost circle. If you are not intentional, you will end up with political friends. Such friends are not truly genuine when it comes to telling you what they truly think or call you to order, but only what they think you want to hear or nothing at all——and since our default setting is to avoid conflict, we tend to prioritize such poor-quality relationships.  We should often evaluate our closest friendships to be sure that they can provide us the benefit that comes from conflicts and effective conflict resolution. And here are a few ways you can start: Learn to embrace conflict in your relationships with your closest friends or family. Change y...

THAT PLACE COULD BE YOUR COVERING.

Image
There's a place you'll be and you'll think you are suffering, but you don't know it's a covering. Well meaning people may be advising you to leave, then you leave and boom —right into the hands of the enemy. Even if you don't like where you are or you are in a "cave", verify from GOD whether you should stay or leave ——because nothing just happens. GOD is so kind and merciful—— HE will never let HIS own suffer. Right in that dungeon, HE will keep providing your daily bread/needs until your season comes!

WHAT SHOULD I TELL A FRIEND WHO IS GOING THROUGH A HARD TIME? ❤️

Image
Offering support and empathy is key when a friend is going through a hard time——not a time to judge or criticise.  Sometimes, just being there and listening without judgment can make a world of difference for someone going through a tough period. Here's my word of encouragement for you dear friend: I need you to know that I understand what you are going through and I'm here for you.  You are stronger than you think, and you will surely get through this situation. Better days are ahead. I admire your resilience. 😊 You have faced difficulties before and emerged stronger each time–— and you will do it again this time! You are not alone in this. Your strength and determination inspire me. Every setback is a setup for a comeback. I'm rooting for your big comeback and I'm rooting for you. 💪 Cheers to your amazing life.,, 🙌🥂

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SITTING FOR TOO LONG.

Image
Most of us sit for long periods during our day-to-day lives. We sit when we eat and relax, and many of us sit when we work. Studies suggest that for every two hours we sit, two years of our lives disappear. Many studies even suggest that sitting for more than three hours per day is responsible for around 4% of worldwide deaths. Of course, we cannot prove this categorically, but there’s no denying that “sitting disease” is a real thing. Throughout evolution, we have learned to sit for longer probably because sitting, compared to standing, is less tiring. Most of us sit for long periods during our day-to-day lives. We sit when we eat and relax, and many of us sit when we work. Studies suggest that for every two hours we sit, two years of our lives disappear. WHY DO I FEEL DRAINED WHEN I SPEAK IN THE MIDST OF PEOPLE? 😞

Image
Feeling drained when speaking in a group of people is a common experience and can be attributed to various factors—from experience.  Social Anxiety If you're introverted or have social anxiety, which could be as a result of childhood trauma, environmental constraint, bullying etc interacting with a group can be mentally exhausting as it may trigger feelings of self-consciousness or fear of judgment. Cognitive Load Conversations in groups often require multitasking, like listening to multiple people, formulating responses, and monitoring non-verbal cues. This can be mentally taxing. Energy Depletion Socializing consumes mental energy. Introverts, in particular, may need more time to recharge after social interactions. Emotional Exhaustion  Group discussions can involve managing emotions, handling conflicts, or empathizing with others, which can be emotionally draining. Overstimulation  Crowded or noisy environments can overwhelm your senses, leading to exhaustion. Lack of...

HOW CAN SHARING YOUR STORIES INSPIRE OTHERS?

Image
In a world where everyone paints a perfect picture of themselves or shy away from their past/stories because of fear of being alone in such situation or fear of being stigmatised, you could be that light that shines in the dark by boldly sharing your own story regardless—which can inspire others in several ways. Relatability . When you share your personal experiences and challenges, others who have faced similar situations can relate to your story. They realize they are not alone in their struggles, and you too, which can be incredibly comforting and motivating. Resilience . Hearing about how you overcame obstacles or adversity can inspire others to persevere through their own difficulties. Your story can serve as a powerful example of resilience and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Empathy. Sharing your vulnerabilities and emotions allows others to empathize with you. This can foster a sense of compassion and understanding, encouraging people to be more empathetic in their o...

EXPRESS GRATITUDE DAILY. PART 3

Image
And we're here with the third method of expressing gratitude daily.  The blitz method.   This method involves spontaneously writing all the things you are grateful for.  You don't stop until you have fully written every point down.  The advantage of this method is that it helps build your gratitude momentum from the ground up within a short period of time.  Use it when you need a quick boost of gratitude feelings or need to achieve a highly receptive and attractive state. Practice gratitude and you will see life from a whole new dimension.  Enjoy your day. 😘😘

A GOOD NO.

Image
For many people, saying No is one of the toughest things to do; it’s often uncomfortable, scary, and might be dangerous for your relationships with others. But at the same time, it is vital for your well-being. To stand up for what matters and tend to your needs or those of others, you must first say No to a request or demand that may conflict your values and standard, or that may be unwelcome, abusive, or inappropriate.  Saying No, though, isn’t as straightforward as we’d like it to be. It is one of the most powerful words in any language, and we must use it effectively and gracefully.  Think of it as your “+4” Uno card — it can save you when you are in a tough predicament, but overuse it, and no one will want to play with you anymore.  One thing I've realised about saying No is that you must keep a certain balance between exercising your will and power and tending to your relationship.  That balance is the missing link. Apply wisdom when saying No.  Remember t...

EXPRESS GRATITUDE DAILY. PART 2

Image
Today, we're looking at the second step of expressing gratitude daily; and it's: The time-lapse method. This is similar to the stacking method. The only difference here is the added intentionality. Rather than just write all the things you are grateful for, the time-lapse method involves writing equal numbers of things in the past, present and future that you are grateful for. Maybe 5 or 10 or 3 each, whatever number you have. Next, jumble your items so they aren't arranged in any order at all. Repeat steps 2 and 3 of the stacking method. Loving it right? Yes. I shared this with someone and the person has been practicing it and the fun part of this whole  idea is the simplicity—and I love it. Have an amazing month full of gratitude and manifestations of our heart desires. 😘😘😘

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY. 🇳🇬

Stay strong; and long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 🇳🇬❤️

EXPRESS GRATITUDE DAILY. PART 1.

Image
I have three gratitude methods I would like you to consider using today. They are all effective methods. But I am going to share one today, to make it less boring for some—then tomorrow and next You like that right? ☺️ You can pick any of the 3  methods  that resonates best with you to be using daily (when I'm done) —or choose all. 😊 The stacking method. This is a simple and straightforward method.  All you have to do is follow a three step process.  First, write down all the things you're grateful for as they come to your mind. Two, read through all the items on your list.  Three, take 20-60  seconds breaks  between each item—You can extend the time if you wish, I do.  This break is to enable you to meditate and feel the gratitude of each item before proceeding to the next. And meditation we know is a powerful tool for manifestation.  Meditate on the word of GOD and HIS promises and thank HIM for everything you have written down.  Hap...
