WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SITTING FOR TOO LONG.

Most of us sit for long periods during our day-to-day lives. We sit when we eat and relax, and many of us sit when we work. Studies suggest that for every two hours we sit, two years of our lives disappear. Many studies even suggest that sitting for more than three hours per day is responsible for around 4% of worldwide deaths. Of course, we cannot prove this categorically, but there’s no denying that “sitting disease” is a real thing. Throughout evolution, we have learned to sit for longer probably because sitting, compared to standing, is less tiring. Most of us sit for long periods during our day-to-day lives. I helped a friend of mine open her own blog today and when we were through, she asked me, "so what can I write on my blog today?" I told her that choosing a blog topic depends on ones interests and niche.   So here are some ideas I shared with her to get her started: How-to Guides: Share step-by-step instructions on a topic you're knowledgeable about. Product Reviews: Review a product or service relevant to your audience. Personal Stories: Share experiences, anecdotes, or lessons learned. Trend Analysis: Discuss current trends or industry developments. Lists: Create a listicle of tips, recommendations, or resources. Interviews: Conduct interviews with experts or influencers in your field. Case Studies: Analyze a real-world scenario or success story. Infographics: Visualize data or information in an engaging way. Travel or Food Blog: Share your adventures or culinary experiences. Opinion Pieces: Express your thoughts on a relevant topic. Consider your target audience

WHY DO I FEEL DRAINED WHEN I SPEAK IN THE MIDST OF PEOPLE? 😞

Feeling drained when speaking in a group of people is a common experience and can be attributed to various factors—from experience.  Social Anxiety If you're introverted or have social anxiety, which could be as a result of childhood trauma, environmental constraint, bullying etc interacting with a group can be mentally exhausting as it may trigger feelings of self-consciousness or fear of judgment. Cognitive Load Conversations in groups often require multitasking, like listening to multiple people, formulating responses, and monitoring non-verbal cues. This can be mentally taxing. Energy Depletion Socializing consumes mental energy. Introverts, in particular, may need more time to recharge after social interactions. Emotional Exhaustion  Group discussions can involve managing emotions, handling conflicts, or empathizing with others, which can be emotionally draining. Overstimulation  Crowded or noisy environments can overwhelm your senses, leading to exhaustion. Lack of Practice

HOW CAN SHARING YOUR STORIES INSPIRE OTHERS?

In a world where everyone paints a perfect picture of themselves or shy away from their past/stories because of fear of being alone in such situation or fear of being stigmatised, you could be that light that shines in the dark by boldly sharing your own story regardless—which can inspire others in several ways. Relatability . When you share your personal experiences and challenges, others who have faced similar situations can relate to your story. They realize they are not alone in their struggles, and you too, which can be incredibly comforting and motivating. Resilience . Hearing about how you overcame obstacles or adversity can inspire others to persevere through their own difficulties. Your story can serve as a powerful example of resilience and the ability to bounce back from setbacks. Empathy. Sharing your vulnerabilities and emotions allows others to empathize with you. This can foster a sense of compassion and understanding, encouraging people to be more empathetic in their o
