Someone once said that, when you stop learning, stop listening, stop looking and asking questions, then it means that your life has stopped! Don't you agree?

Well I would say that anyone who chooses to stop learning is basically telling the world that he or she has had enough-enough good things of life, enough knowledge, enough experiences, enough relationships, and enough growth.

The truth is, once we choose to stop learning, much of the knowledge and understanding that we have gained and utilised or shared begins to become irrelevant and obsolete- leaving us empty and depressed, because we have lost touch of the very essence of living.

We have the choice this coming year to simply exist, or to learn and to grow and shine. And if we keep our eyes, heart, and mind open to absorbing new and exciting answers from the world around us- asking questions, listening for answers, searching for truth and understanding- then this coming year will certainly have the potential of being our best year ever.

Have you written down your dreams and aspirations and declarations yet? It is very important you do so NOW! By so, you will have a vision to soar with in the coming year! See you in 2017!

Whether we like it or not, our children are watching us!

You can dole out as much advice as you want, but your personal conduct makes a more lasting impression than your words.'The number one way human beings learn is through imitation and copy,'says Fay. If you want your child to be honest, make sure you practice honesty. If you want your child to be polite, let her see your best manners, at home and in public.

The other day, a little girl of about 7 years of age bumped into me, and the stuff I was holding fell over the whole place. Her mother held her and walked away without saying sorry. I watched this woman walk away with her child without telling her to say sorry to the "stranger" and I felt bad for the mother. What kind of example is she teaching her daughter? Your answer is as good as mine.

So let is be role models to our children. Because the measure we give them now (good or bad) is the measure that we will receive from them- in the nearest future!

With a new year just around the corner, this is the ideal time to ask ourselves, "How am I going to approach the next year of my life?" The coming year is a blank canvas, waiting for us to choose what we want to create on it- the lessons, the images, the mediums, the colors, the textures, the strokes, the milestones, the achievements, the dreams and so much more, because we have the ability to call forth whatever we desire to. And with this knowledge, it is important that we truly recognize that there is no need to emulate our past-the ways we'd done things before may not be how we wish to do so now, so we can have a more effective life. And with the multitude of new things ahead of us- decisions to make and tasks to undertake, if we simply try to meet the expectations of those around us, then how can we expect to ever grow or excel? Time to reflect and come up with a plan!

Being different is a small part of being authentic, as it embraces one's uniqueness. This alone, however, does not elevate us above those around us. If we truly wish to stand out from the crowd, we have to be "outstanding."

Being outstanding might not really be easy, especially when your efforts seem to be going towards something that the world feels will not come naturally to you. In such instances, it can be easy to get frustrated or discouraged when we see very little progress for all our efforts when it obviously comes more easily for others.

That is why It is important to realize, however, to focus on what really matters- the quality of work you do and not bother yourself about how much effort others put forth. If yoy want to be outstanding, you must first believe in something- a revelation of who you truly are and in the one who called you- GOD ALMIGHTY! If not, you will keep trying hard without results.

Wishing you all an extraordinary 2017

Christmas reminds us that we are here on this planet for something greater than just ourselves. And when we choose to consider the wants and needs of others this season, we are taking part in the beautiful miracle that is being truly human.

Our LORD, JESUS CHRIST told us that the two most important commandments in life are to love God and others- both of which instruct us to direct our love outside of ourselves!

Friday, 23 December 2016

Regardless of whether Christmastime gets us thinking in terms of our spirituality or not, it most certainly is a season that touches my heart in a way that is rare in this world.

Christmas offers to each of us the opportunity to become a better person- a chance to focus more on others and less on ourselves, to reflect deeply and live abundantly, to give generously and to receive gratefully, to share joy, love, and cheer, to grow in profound and life-changing ways, and to add our own personal contributions to the season love!

Besides, Christmas presents us with the opportunity to commemorate the birth of our saviour JESUS CHRIST, and the salvation HE brought to us through HIS death and resurrection- which is truly the reason for the season- to immerse ourselves in the positive and uplifting atmosphere, filled with the love and hope and also a chance to unite with our loved ones and family, enjoy the carols and cheers- which basically is ALL THAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS! How about you?

A business man was late for his flight. He reached the boarding gate just before it closed. Sweating and out of breath, he scanned his boarding pass at the counter and quickly made his way to the plane.

Arriving at his seat, he greeted his companions for the next few hours: a middle-aged woman sitting at the window, and a little girl sitting on the aisle seat. After stowing his bag above, he took his place between them.

After the flight took off, he began a conversation with the little girl. She appeared to be about the same age as his daughter and was busy with her coloring book. He asked her a few usual questions, such as her age (eight), her hobbies (cartoons and drawing), as well as her favorite animal (horses are pretty, but she just loved cats). He found it strange that such a young girl would be traveling alone, but he kept his thoughts to himself and decided to keep an eye on her to make sure she was okay.

About an hour into the flight, the plane suddenly began experiencing extreme turbulence. The pilot came over the PA system and told everyone to fasten their seat belts and remain calm, as they had encountered rough weather.

Several times over the next half hour the plane made drastic dips and turns, shaking all the while. Some people began crying, and many―like the woman in the window seat―were praying intently. The man was sweating and clenching his seat as tightly as he could, and exclaim “Oh my God!” with each increasingly violent shake of the plane.

Meanwhile, the little girl was sitting quietly beside him in her seat. Her coloring book and crayons were put away neatly in the seat pocket in front of her, and her hands were calmly resting on her legs. Incredibly, she didn't seem worried all.

Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the turbulence ended. The pilot came on a few minutes later to apologize for the bumpy ride and to announce that they would be landing soon. As the plane began its descent, the man said to the little girl, “You are just a little girl, but I have never met a braver person in all my life! Tell me, dear, how is it that you remained so calm while all of us adults were so afraid?”

Looking him in the eyes, she said, 'My father is the pilot, and he's taking me home.'

If this little girl could trust his father to get her home safely, how much more would our heavenly FATHER do for us only if we'd believe in HIM and have faith! The truth is, if we recognise the power of faith, we won't look for miracles!

While punishment is the centerpiece of discipline, yet parents tend to overlook their children’s best behaviours. Rewarding good deeds targets behaviors you want to develop in your child, not things he shouldn't be doing. This does not mean you should give your child a pound of chocolate every time he picks up a paperclip. You will get a lot more positive reinforcement than negative reinforcement when you reward your children. You can say something like ‘good job. I’m really glad you did that,’ when your child cleans his room or behaves very well.' And there are times when your child does something extraordinary that may warrant a larger reward. Start rewarding your child(ren)'s good behaviour and you will be doing them a great thing as you watch your children grow with good self esteem.

Hello Dear women in the house and all over the world! I celebrate you all. I saw this article and I thought I could share it to inspire you and to wish you all a Merry Christmas!

In honor of women!
They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up for injustice.

They don’t take “no” for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without new shoes so their children can have them.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
        They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage.

They are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.

They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.

Have you ever bought a car and then it suddenly seemed like there were many of the same cars on the road? It is not that everyone else decided to buy the same car at the same time as you. The cars have always been there, but your mind has now been primed to notice them. So it is with opportunity and progress. If your mind is primed with the right knowledge, you will be able to recognise opportunities and take advantage of them when others can’t see them.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Progress is the activity of today and the assurance of tomorrow.” What you do today will prepare you for a better tomorrow.

You are all you can be. Go on and be it.

There is no substitute for taking full responsibility for our own actions, words, and deeds. And the more we do so, the more we begin to see how "what we say and do comes back to us" and the easier it becomes to make the right decisions when we are faced with them.

Our history is a part of us, and always will be. But when we attempt to spend our present moments in the past, we relegate ourselves to mere bystanders. Live fully in the here and now. Remember that who you are in life, and who you are becoming, depends entirely on how you use the experiences that you have gained from your past. Did you learn and grow from them, allowing them to expand your horizons and better yourself?

Tuesday, 13 December 2016

Hello lovely friends, how are you all doing? 2017 is just by the corner, and I know that alot of us have made up our minds on how to start out and lead an awesome 2017- like spending more time with family and supportive friends, getting closer to GOD, keeping fit, losing weight, quitting smoking, enjoying life more, quitting drinking, getting out of debt, learning new things, helping others, reducing stress, getting a better job and so on.

Nevertheless, do not be pressured into doing something because someone else wants you to do it. Do it because you know it is the right thing to do, and that there is always a reward for doing good.

Your goals for 2017 should be something you really desire to change or achieve. Then you will be more likely to succeed. Take on this new year with a fresh enthusiasm and all the faith, courage, determination, persistence and energy you can muster. 2017 can be your best year ever. Decide to make it one. As Eleanor Roosevelt said: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Gardens should be nourishing to the seeds that are planted within them; those seeds need lots of healthy nutrients, sunlight, and water to germinate, grow, and flower or produce a beneficial harvest. They also require tending to and care, such as fertilizers, pesticide, and continual weeding and trimming. Our dreams and desires are much like the season's harvest of a garden- they are dependent upon how well we nourish and empower them with strong, healthy beliefs. And the beauty of this realization is that we can determine how successful we are at reaching our dreams and desires simply by believing in ourselves and embracing positive attitudes, and no one can take this away from us unless we allow them to do so.

And even if our attitudes are negative, or wishy-washy and on the fence, all it takes is a simple shift in perspectives to make a world of difference. Everything picks up when we begin to believe in our self: self-image and self-confidence, feelings of happiness and contentment, work performance and productivity, even relationships- for it is easier to be with someone who believes in himself or herself than it is to be with someone who does not.

Sunday, 11 December 2016

The beauty we should strive to maintain is the one that comes from being a gentle, loving, kind, merciful, forgiving, compassionate, selfless, and strong person who is not misdirected or shipwrecked by the winds and rains of circumstance and happenstance. Therefore, it is very important that we must develop the important elements of who we are such as our integrity and fortitude, and our inner security and faith.

The reality is that true beauty in an individual has no tangible measure- it does not require wealth, power, or fame, nor does it involve make-up, expensive clothes, or any other form of vanity- it simply requires strong character. And once we have that, others will be able to look to us as a source of guidance, strength, and inspiration in their own lives.

However, guard your beauty diligently, so that no ones ugliness rubs off on you.

I truly believe that no situation is ever hopeless. Anything can be turned around as long as you have breath in you. It may be a cliché, but “where there is a will, there is a way.” Everyone needs support in life one way or another, but ultimately only you can make a lasting difference in your own life. It is very important to have a dream and to pursue it with everything you have; and the size of your dream is up to you because the sky has never been the limit and you have all the potential to have anything and be anything you want.

We all have full responsibility for our own life and must choose rightly who should  be in the driver’s seat, (I CHOOSE GOD) because it is your thinking and your talk that ultimately determine your destiny.

So what do you desire? What are you working towards? What are you planning for? What are you feeding your mind with? What are you saying to yourself or that situation? Remember, nothing is hopeless! It does not matter how dark the night is, the sun will surely shine! Believe that!

In the early years of my life, as a little child, I had always loved to be in the limelight, but somehow, my parents just did not allow me express my true inner abilities. I have always known what I wanted in life, but I was restricted. I never wanted to do science, but my parents thought I would do well with science but I know I loved arts. Well, my point is, they actually decided my whole life for me, which made me lose interest in so many things- even when I was forced to read Agricultural Economics in the University.

Well, now I have the chance to really do what I love doing, and very open to greater opportunities that will take me to where GOD has destined me to be.

So, If you ever feel like you have failed to find your true calling in life, do not lose hope.

The truth is, we are all entitled to do-overs in life- we will all need them at some point in the journey. Just do you best to love the work you find and commit to, and be open to all of the opportunities that come your way. Cheer up! Your best days are coming!

Just a word for you my friend. If you know who you are, you will not care about what people say or feel about you, because you know that the GREATER ONE lives inside of you. Always walk in the consciousness of who you are and WHO is with you. Have a blessed month!

Are you going through an identity crisis? Do you feel you are not capable and qualified? Do you wonder what "the other guy" who succeed seem to have that you don't have? All you see is your own sorry existence, questionable pasts and mistakes, difficult personality and  rusty skill?

Well friend, I have good news for you. What matters is what GOD has seen in you and said concerning you. GOD sees you capable, qualified and able to achieve greatness. GOD does not ever joke with you. Where others see you weak, GOD uses it to confound the wise and make you to soar upon your highest places.

I want you to know that GOD is faithful, merciful, extremely loving and kind and HE keeps every of HIS promises. What GOD says HE will do, HE does and no one ever questions HIM, not even the naysayers! GOD will never forsake you when you run to HIM.

GOD is strong enough, loving enough, trustworthy enough, and present enough to accomplish anything HE calls you to do! And just in case you ever wonder what GOD could possibly be thinking when HE calls someone like you, read the "sheepherder's" (Moses) eloquent farewell speech (the whole book of Deuteronony). You will find a man so transformed by a lifetime of seeing what only GOD can do that he doesn't spend a minute bringing up what he can or cannot do! Only GOD can change any situation at all!

Your thoughts are the primary cause of everything. So when you think a sustained thought it is immediately sent out into the Universe. That thought magnetically attaches itself to the like frequency, and then within seconds sends the reading of that frequency back to you through your feelings.

Put another way, your feelings are communicated back to you from the Universe, telling you what frequency you are currently on. Your feelings are your frequency feedback mechanism!

Instead of treating your mistakes as signs of your inferiority, why not treat them as lessons learned that will increase your wisdom and your strength, and consequently, increase your self confidence?

It is easy for us to notice the things we have received- especially those things that are tangible and of value. It is also easy for us to give attention to the things we have not received but perhaps hoped for- our goals, dreams, and ambitions. However, it is much harder for us to keep in mind all those things from which we have escaped-harmful things, hurtful things, difficult things that would have burdened our hearts and minds- and to feel a deep sense of gratitude that we have been spared such suffering, that those things have not been a part of our lives.

Never let your problems outweigh your thankfulness, even though sometimes, it may be difficult to feel a sense of gratitude in the midst of lack and unhealthy circumstances. But the truth is,  if we are able to keep in mind the difficulties and obstacles that we have escaped, and feel a sense of appreciation for having avoided their presence, we have increased the positive and reduced the influence that those problems could have had in our hearts, minds and lives.

We can never have too much gratitude in our lives. It is such a wonderful thing to see every situation through the eyes of thankfulness. And once we begin to see things around us through this lens, even the pain and the suffering, the difficulties and the hardships, begin to have a deeper meaning and hold powerful potential for growth in our lives.

Friday, 25 November 2016

How grateful are you? You know, life is made up of a series of todays. And the positive outlooks and attitudes we embrace can have just as much of an effect on the moments of our life as what actually happens in those moments. When we are able to change our perspective on the current day we are living, our perspective on life begins to shift as well, and we open ourselves up to new and exciting opportunities for growth and change, knowledge and understanding, and purpose and fulfillment.

Oprah Winfrey said, "Keep a grateful journal. Every night, list five things that happened this day that you are grateful for. What it will begin to do is change your perspective of your day and your life. If you can learn to focus on what you have, you will always see that the universe is abundant; you will have more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never have enough."

In the cause of my life,I reaslied that there was always a "disconnect in my communication with others". They either misunderstood me or picked quarrels because of what I said through text message or word of mouth.

We depend so much upon words to express our desires and feelings, that rarely do we stop to consider just how ineffective those words tend to be. Not only do the intentions of our words get misunderstood, but often times they create conflict in our lives or the lives of others. Rarely do the words we speak capture the true feelings we wish to convey, and more often than not, come across quite differently than we had intended them to.

Because of this, I started practicing and developing the skill of using my words so that I can improve their effectiveness in properly expressing my thoughts and feelings.

Someone knows what I am talking about? All you need to do is start practicing and developing your skills of communicating your true thoughts.

Friday, 18 November 2016

There is no good reason not to be grateful, because the truth is, our happiness in life depends upon the attitudes we espouse. Once we recognize that we are the captains of our vessels, we also understand that no one else has the power or ability to ruin our day, unless of course, we give that power to them.

Others have tried to ruin my day before- they tried to sour my attitudes, my outlooks, my hopes, and my ambitions, and I let them.

Consequently, over the course of many bad days, I finally came to realize that my awful feelings were not a result of my actions, but of my reactions to those actions. In other words, I let others allow me to make my own days miserable.

It was not that the day was bad, or even that those individuals made the day bad, it was me. I let their words and actions affect the peace and serenity within me. So, as soon as I understood this truth, I deviced ways to avoid letting others determine my attitudes in life. You too can!

If you had enough force to bend yourself, you've got enough force to straighten yourself back up again!

Wednesday, 16 November 2016

The purpose of life is joy! When you are joyful, you attract the highest and best in every area of your life. Joy increases to the exact degree that you deliberately increase your good thoughts, good words, and good actions. I have found out in my life that the easiest way to increase my joy is to religiously practice gratitude until I am a gratitude machine.

It is very important that we take the time to listen carefully, honestly, and genuinely, for it is in truly listening with our hearts that we come to discover that deep awareness.

The majority of us are quick to share our opinions, wisdom, and thoughts rather candidly, however, rarely do we listen without the intention of responding. It is by listening that we learn, and it is in the hearing that we grow.

Monday, 14 November 2016

I have seen people lose their enthusiasm for things that they love because of the discouragement of others. I have also seen people who never are satisfied with the work that they do because they constantly compare it to the work of others who are more talented than they are.

We are all unique individuals, with different talents and abilities. Therefore, it is important that we keep in mind the fact that though we may not have the greatest talent in a certain area, we can still enjoy the work that we do in another area, and we can still be very proud that we work to the limits of our talents, or even push those limits further to improve on our talents.

Let us encourage and provide nourishment to one another!

Saturday, 12 November 2016

Every day of our lives, we have the choice to be authentic and act according to our true nature, or to act in some other way that is less genuine, less sincere, and less honest with ourselves and the world around us. But the doors of happiness and joy, grace and blessings, purpose and meaning, and so many other good and wholesome things, cannot be opened until we finally accept to live our authentic nature fully and passionately.

Listen, change seems to happen when you have abandoned the chase after what you want to be (or think you should be) and have accepted- and fully experience what you are!

A tribute song to Rev. Sammoses Enenche by I-FEE.

"No day passes that I do not think about you Sir; and there are no right words to say how much you impacted my life. You valued me more than just your Music Producer. Every moment with you was a whole new experience. I will have to learn to live with the memories. Till We Meet Again." I-FEE

Hey Friends, please download this beautiful tribute song by I-FEE. Find the link below:

If we want our habits to build us up instead of causing us harm- to make our lives richer and contribute to the world instead of making it poorer and taking from it- then we have to be in control of our habits. This requires us to be aware of our bad habits so that we can remove them, as well as choosing to actively foster healthy habits that become our friends and not our enemies--that help our lives and not sabotage them.

Adopt a habit today that will result in adding to the positive in the world.

When you live authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others -your spirit - your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them.

Two men look out through the same bars: One sees the mud, and one sees the stars."- Frederick Langbridge, A Cluster of Quiet Thoughts

If you came second in a writing contest, will you jump for joy and push for better results the next time or will you be discouraged and find an excuse not to join again?

When I was in secondary school, I was among the six that was to represent the school In a writing contest. I was shocked that I was picked because the other five were the best students. So I started practicing until I was confident enough to represent the school. It was from that very moment that I discovered my writing skills. We did not win the competition, but then I did not give up- I kept on practicing.

In life, we are always faced with choices. You may choose to have a pessimistic view about your situation and live a self-defeated life or you may choose to be optimistic and win!

What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? List three - if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify them. Are you imaginative, witty, good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others.

We hear, read about, attend seminars on how we could grow our businesses, but how many of us put that same effort to grow our hearts- which is actually the real us? You cannot expect your business to grow without making efforts to research and find better ways to actually see that it grows and gets better than it was when you started. Likewise, you cannot expect to experience changes and transformations without making efforts- research, read books, seek true spiritual help to really ensure that your heart grows to become a best you!

We are spiritual creatures, and as such, it is important that we allow our spirits to grow and flourish, that we allow ourselves to take healthy risks that challenge who we are today, that we allow ourselves to feel compassion, empathy, and oneness with others and open ourselves up to them even if there is a chance that it might not turn out as we would like it to. Even if our bodies become static, our spirits are meant to be dynamic- ever growing, ever expanding, ever changing, ever blooming. And our spirits are created to be strong and resilient- even when risks do not turn out as we hoped they would, our spirits can learn and grow from taking them.

Grow your heart- allow your spirit to expand and learn from the many lessons available in your life.

Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. The world is so busy which most times makes it difficult for one to enjoy some peace and quiet; but you can always find some peace in the quietness of your home- that is if you have peace and quietness in your home. Yet, you should always find a place to enjoy some quietness. In my case, I often just sit in a dimly lit room and play some classical music. There's sound, yes, but music does soothe the savage beast.
