I BELIEVE IN POSITIVITY

Image
I believe in positivity. I believe that it is all about what you do with the time you have, how you treat the people around you, and how you take care of yourself.  I believe in always looking at the bright side of things. It is easy to be negative when things aren't going well or our way—but if we are always looking for ways to improve ourselves, there's no reason why we can't find happiness every day. You are not a victim! It is time to throw out the old, tired way of thinking about life and embrace a healthier and happier mindset. Be kind to yourself and be grateful. Don't give up hope and never stop believing in yourself. Photo Credit: Christina Ifeoluwa

IS HUMILITY AT ODDS WITH BEING PROUD? LET'S FIND OUT.

Image
Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own power- a  phrase from the book, The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.  Humility, defined as the quality of being modest, is a key trait that can significantly improve our relationships, career prospects and overall well-being. Humility is not a negative quality as some people in the world today perceive, but it's actually associated with improved cognitive functioning and higher levels of cooperation, team work and helping behaviour. You don't need to be religious to be humble. Humility is not being shy or quiet or self-effacing. You can be humble without being humiliated or self critical. Humility can make you genuinely want to listen to others and offer solution(s). Being humble is not at odds with being proud; it simply means you can acknowledge your accomplishments, while also acknowledge your debt to others who helped you along the way. WHAT'S YOUR STORY?

Image
I admire people who write or share about their life experiences, because I feel that it can be a great source of inspiration for others. These experiences allow people to learn from them, and  add values to their own lives. I see people who share their stories as strong, because it takes a lot of courage for someone to open up to speak on what literally broke them, and how they overcame; just to encourage and motivate people. I admire these people. They are brave!  So, if you have a story, at the right time, share it! I feel that when you share your story, it allows you to truly explore who you are and the strength of your character.

YOUR LIFE WILL ALWAYS BE A REFLECTION OF YOUR MINDSET AND BELIEF SYSTEM.

Image
Your life will always be a reflection of your mindset and belief system.  Your believing has results that follow it. Whether you believe a truth or a lie, the results are proof of your mindset and belief system. Which is why it is a risk to believe anything, because whatever you believe has something that it attracts to your life. If you believe defeat, you will experience defeat. If you believe success, you will experience success. The environmental conditioning, which is one of the ways by which our minds are conditioned is so powerful that it can alter the genetic conditioning. A lot of us are products of our environments; and truth be told, majority of your decisions, failures, successes could be traced to our environments. But the good news is that, we can chart the course of our lives to be even better, by transforming our minds and unlearning those beliefs that held us bound and refused to let us rise. That's a good way to start living the life of purpose.

WORD FOR THE DAY- VALUE WHAT YOU HAVE.

Image
Why do people devalue what they have? It is because of familiarity. When you live with something or someone for so long and  always have access to it,  you tend to take it for granted. Do not let familiarity make you devalue what you have. Always place value for what you have.
